River of Hope is committed to bringing God more glory by growing His Kingdom in the Twin Cities, at the University of Minnesota (U of M), and throughout the world.

 

The U of M is planning to expand its medical facilities next to our current location. Therefore ROH leadership foresees this to be the time to gain maximum value for our property and to find a location for our church’s ministry that will bring maximum impact for the Kingdom.

 

During the last couple of years, ROH leadership has prayerfully considered several locations. It is clear that, though there is an affinity for our current church building, many support relocating the church facility if it helps our ministry in a spiritual, financial, and administrational manner.

Last fall it seemed that God brought to the attention of the ROH leadership an existing building located at 3300 SE university Avenue. After prayerful discussions with members of River of Hope, colleagues in ministry, and architects, there has been a growing support and enthusiasm for this site.

This site has several distinctions that make it a good location for the ministry of SVC. It is very visible from University Avenue. It is situated on the light rail route and near two stations. It is relatively close to the U of M. It has adequate space for an expanded ministry. It seems to be financially advantageous.

After considerable examination by the church leadership, we believe that the space supports our ministry and the financial aspects of the deal are favorable.

All final agreements to buy/sell property have been approved by a vote from the church membership.
